The Masonic Charities of Arizona is a non-profit charitable organization, organized under the
laws of the State of Arizona on April 25, 1981.
The purpose of the charity is to primarily assist those organizations throughout the State,
engaged in relieving human suffering of any kind, which are dependant upon contributions from
the public to accomplish their mission.
Masonic Charities of Arizona is an approved tax-exempt charitable corporation under section 501
(C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. All donations are fully deductible for both State
and Federal income tax purposes. Receipts are available on request.
Donated funds are placed in an investment portfolio and grants to qualified organizations are
made yearly from the interest earned by those accounts.
The Board of Directors is appointed to serve a three-year term by the Grand Master of Masons of
Arizona. Directors serve voluntarily and receive no compensation for their services.
ANYONE can include Masonic Charities of Arizona in their Will or Bequest in any form, (i.e. real
estate, securities, life insurance, cash, or other personal property). Contact your attorney/tax
advisor regarding the proper form for your situation.
Donations may be made in the name of a loved one or a friend as a Memorial. Memorial donations
will be acknowledged when the name and address of the recipient is provided. Lodges are recommended
to us Masonic Charities to honor their outstanding members or as a lasting tribute to their departed
brethren. You can also donate via payroll deduction through the United Way and the Combined Federal
Campaign.
Throughout its history, grants from Masonic Charities of Arizona have been provided to needy
organizations in the various communities within the State of Arizona.
